Police involved in the killing of akvilina have been released.

 said arrested soldiers were linked to the death of a former National College of Transportation College (NIT), Akwilina Akwilina released.



Akwilina died on February 16, 2018 after being shot on the head while in a daladala area in Mkwajuni in Dar es Salaam, while police displaced protesters who were Chadema supporters.


April 20, 2018 The Prosecutor (DPP), Biswalo Mganga said the case of Akwilina's case has been officially closed, indicating that the Police Force exercises power to prevent protests or violence and cause murder, can not be charged.


Today on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, while speaking to reporters after being asked for the fate of the troops, Mambosasa said they had been released, "there are actually soldiers we were holding for investigations, when the detective ended it detected they were not allowed."

"The soldiers were released from the lawyer's instructions and the evidence was not enough to convince them."

Earlier, Mambosaasa has warned the road users to be careful and strict legal action will be taken to particular bodaboda ambulance drivers
